Understanding Present Levels, Evaluations & Special Education Eligibility (Saturday)

A strong foundation in special education starts with understanding present levels of performance, evaluations, and eligibility criteria. In this session, we’ll guide parents through the process of determining a child's strengths, needs, and academic progress within an Individualized Education Program (IEP). We’ll also explore the special education evaluation process, including initial assessments and re-evaluations, and break down the eligibility categories outlined in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). By the end of this class, parents will have a clear understanding of how to navigate the evaluation process and advocate effectively for their child’s educational success.
