Alternative Dispute Resolution, Grades, and Students with Disabilities (Saturday)

When disagreements arise between families and schools, alternative dispute resolution (ADR) can be a powerful tool to reach agreements without the need for litigation. This session will cover different forms of ADR, such as mediation and facilitated IEP meetings, and explain how they can help resolve educational disputes. We’ll also discuss grading policies for students with disabilities, ensuring parents understand their child’s rights and how to advocate for fair and accurate assessments.
